Education Scholarships

Starting in January 2025, The Foundation rolled out Merit-Based Partial-Tuition scholarship opportunities to 10 Secondary School Students within Karuri Ward, Kiambu County, in Kenya.

These Merit-Based scholarships are an addition to the already running education program for orphaned and financially struggling students and they will be available once a year in January.

In January 2025, we had 3 successful applicants who each received KES 10,000 worth of scholarships toward their tuition fees which was paid directly to their learning institution.

Details of how to apply for the merit scholarship can be found in the Scholarships page or by clicking here.

We are proud to share that our foundation is currently supporting the education of four exceptional students through full scholarships. These scholarships cover tuition, academic materials, and additional support to ensure each student can focus fully on their studies without financial barriers.

Each of these young individuals was selected based on their financial need, academic promise, personal resilience, and commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. By investing in their education, we are not only supporting their individual growth but also contributing to a brighter, more equitable future for all.

This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to education as a powerful tool for transformation. We are grateful to our partners and donors whose generosity makes this possible, and we look forward to seeing the incredible things these students will accomplish.

Sanitary Pads Project

Launched on October 9, 2024, the purpose of this program is to provide sanitary pads/towels to school going girls to ensure that they are not missing school due to menstrual hygiene challenges. The outreach targets students in Grades 6, 7 & 8.

Currently we provide 1 pack of sanitary towels (8 pads) per month to over 700 girls in three primary schools in Karuri Ward, Kiambu County in Kenya. The project runs each month during the school terms (January-March, May-July, September-October).

The primary schools we are currently serving are Karuri, Kibathi and Thimbigua. We currently have 3 volunteers who are also doubling up as mentors to the girls during these visits.

We welcome you to partner with us (financially and or as a mentor) as we seek to expand this project to other Primary and Secondary Schools in Karuri Ward.

Football Clinics

In Kenya, football is more than just a sport - it's a deeply woven part of community life, especially in the villages. For decades, football has been widely loved and embraced across rural areas, where it has become an essential activity for both the young and the old, bridging communities, fostering friendships, and sparking dreams.

On November 30, 2024, The Eden Sphere Foundation partnered with Karuri Hope Soccer Academy from Karuri Town to kickstart a Tri-Annual tournament and football clinic for boys and girls.

This inaugural tournament brought together over 70 boys and girls from neighboring areas to compete for medals and bragging rights.

Martin, a co-founder of Eden Sphere Foundation, was a volunteer coach at this academy from 2006 - 2010. The volunteer coaches bring the young boys and girls together in the evenings after school and use football as a tool to build teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills.

Through these tournaments, we aim to educate the youth about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, while providing them with positive role models and an environment for personal growth.

We welcome you to support this cause by donating footballs, uniforms and training equipment that are required to keep this volunteer program running.
